Your first Mockingbird: getting started
Pick the part that fits where you are. Everything is in Mockingbird's own words, with the link.
Reusing older parts
Second baby, or upgrading one piece: what carries over and what doesn't.
Will parts move between models?
- The 3.0 extra canopy does not fit 2.0 or earlier Mockingbird strollers; to upgrade an older stroller, Mockingbird sells a 3.0 seat-with-canopy kit instead. Mockingbird product page
Used or passed down
Check these before the first ride.
How do I hear about a recall?
- You do not have to register a Mockingbird product to get warranty coverage, but the brand still recommends registering. Mockingbird help article
- Mockingbird's product registration page is used only to contact you about safety alerts or recalls; registering online replaces the paper card. Mockingbird product page
- The details needed to register a stroller are on the registration card on the front of the seat, or on a sticker inside the frame near the top of the basket. Mockingbird product page
- To check recall status, read the white label on the inner left side of the frame near the top of the basket: it shows the stroller type (after DESC:) and a five-digit lot number (after LOT#:CH). Mockingbird product page
- A Single Stroller with lot number 18322 to 22278, or lot 23174 or 23175, is in Mockingbird's voluntary frame recall; owners should request the free Frame Reinforcement Kit. Mockingbird product page
Care and warranty
Keeping it clean, and what the maker covers.
How do I clean it?
- Stroller fabrics wipe clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent; the toddler seat fabric comes off and can be machine washed cold and air dried. Mockingbird help article
What does the warranty cover?
- Mockingbird strollers carry a lifetime limited warranty; high chairs get three years and accessories two years. Mockingbird product page
- The warranty covers manufacturing defects for the original buyer only. Misuse and everyday wear such as stains and scratches are not covered. Mockingbird help article

Step by step
Everyday use: strollers (fold, brake, recline)
Common Mockingbird problems and the maker's answers
- The stroller folds only when toddler seats face forward. If a seat faces you, take it off, turn it around and reattach it.
- With Chicco or Graco car seat adapters, move the support bar down before folding.
- The original ring-style Nuna adapter (bought before August 2022) has to come off to fold the Single Stroller.
- Take off the riding board (leave its hub on) before folding.
- There are two release buttons on the Nuna seat.
- Push both buttons all the way in first.
- Then lift the car seat straight up off the adapter.
- All five straps (shoulder, waist and crotch) have their own length adjusters.
- Loosen every strap first, then tighten them all together.
- If it is still too snug, take off the shoulder pads and crotch pad for more room.
- To stop the stroller rolling, push the brake pedal in the middle of the rear brake bar away from you.
- To take a rear wheel off, press the button on the back of the wheel housing and pull the wheel outward.
- To put it back, push the wheel post into the housing.
- To attach, push the front wheel post into the housing until it clicks and is fully locked.
- To remove, press the metal button on the back of the wheel housing and push inward.
- Yes, the front wheels have swivel locks.
- Press the white tab on the front of the wheel down.
- Locked wheels roll straight, which helps on rough ground.
- Many parts can be bought directly on the replacement-parts page of the Mockingbird website.
- If the part isn't listed, use the contact form and pick "Help with purchasing a replacement part".
- Describe the part; Mockingbird says it replies within 1–2 business days with price and ordering details.
- For defects or shipping damage covered by warranty, choose "Problem with my Mockingbird product" on the form instead.
- Wipe plastic and aluminum parts with a sponge or damp cloth and a mild cleaner in warm water.
- On 2025 and earlier seats, take out the harness straps and seat boards and wipe the seat fabric with a damp cloth, then let it air-dry.
- The canopy can't go in the washing machine; spot-clean it.
