How we verify compatibility
Last updated September 25, 2026
Every answer on this site is a quote from a source, not an opinion. This page explains which sources count and how we combine them.
Sources we accept
- The stroller maker — compatibility charts, manuals, adapter product pages. This is the strongest source: the stroller maker designs the attachment points.
- The car seat maker — official pages that list compatible strollers.
- Authorized retailers — product listings published by the brand. Used only when no maker source exists, and labeled as such.
Blogs, forums and review sites are not sources. They can point us to a maker's chart, but they never decide an answer. We never fill a gap by guessing from a brand or a connector type.
What each answer means
- Yes — clicks right in: every source says the seat attaches without an adapter.
- Yes, with an adapter: every source says an adapter is needed, and we name it. If the adapter ships with the stroller, we say so.
- No — it doesn't fit: a maker states the pair is not compatible. Some makers also say that any seat missing from their chart is not compatible (Mockingbird does); we then quote that rule.
- Not on the maker's list: we have read the stroller maker's own list of compatible seats and this seat is not on it. That usually means there is no official way to attach it. We show the seats and strollers that do work instead.
- Makers disagree: two sources say different things (for example, one says it clicks in and another says it needs an adapter). We show both and do not pick a winner.
- No official answer yet: we found no statement from either maker. This is not a "no"; nobody has published an answer we could check.
- Store listing only: the only source is a retailer's page, labelled as such on the answer.
Generations
Strollers change between generations while keeping their name. When a source names a model without a generation, the answer is marked "maker didn't name the version", and our version guides show how to tell yours apart.
Notes, specs and pictures
- Conditions such as "remove the stroller canopy" or a 20 lb limit come from the adapter maker's own page or manual.
- Specs (weights, prices, limits) each link to the page they came from. A combined weight is our arithmetic from the two makers' figures.
- Pictures marked "Illustration" are our own drawings of a kind of product or a step. They never show a specific model. Product photos come only from sources that allow them, such as Amazon's product data.
Dates and corrections
Each source shows the date we read it. Manufacturers update charts without notice, so the most-viewed pairs are re-checked regularly. If you find a newer chart or an error, email hello@firstbabymall.com.
Always check the manuals
This site is a guide to what manufacturers have published. Before using a travel system, confirm the fit in both products' manuals and check that the seat is fully latched.
