The Mockingbird 4-in-1 car seat adapter (model PD_SA_18_1A) lets an infant car seat ride on the Mockingbird Single Stroller 2.0. Makers list 10 seats for it, from Britax, Cybex, Maxi-Cosi and Nuna. Mockingbird lists it at $50.

How to put it on

Walking, not jogging, with a car seat on (illustration)
  1. Set the brake and take the stroller seat off (press the white buttons on both sides and lift).
  2. Line up each adapter so its arrows point to the front of the stroller, away from the handlebar.
  3. Push the adapters into the left and right joints until they click, then pull up on each to check.
  4. Place the car seat facing the handlebar onto the adapters until it clicks.
  5. Pull up on the car seat to check it is locked.

Common mistakes

  • Do not run or jog with the stroller; walking speed only.
  • The baby must face the person pushing.
  • Do not lift or carry the stroller by the car seat.
  • Take the car seat off before folding the stroller; the adapter itself can stay on.
  • If the adapter comes off together with the car seat, put the adapter back on the frame and remove the car seat first.
