Common problems with the Maxi-Cosi Mico Luxe

1. Maxi-Cosi's Care Center can replace the cover.
2. Call them at (800) 951-4113.
1. Look for a sticker on the side of the seat shell; on infant car seats it can be on the bottom instead.
2. The sticker is marked "Manufactured in" or "Model # / Manufacture Date".
3. The model number starts with 22, CC, BC or IC and ends with a short color code.
4. The date is usually written month/day/year. Have both ready before you contact Maxi-Cosi.
1. Turn the seat over and look at the bottom.
2. The expiration date is printed into the plastic of the seat itself, not on the paper sticker.
1. Find the model number and manufacturing date on the sticker on the side of the seat.
2. Have them ready when you call Maxi-Cosi Consumer Relations.
3. They use these details to send you the right parts approved for your exact seat.
1. The fabrics can go in the washing machine and the dryer.
2. Wipe plastic, vinyl and metal parts with a damp sponge or cloth.
3. Clean the harness with mild soap and water.
4. Wipe only the outside of the buckle with a damp cloth. Do not oil it or put it in water.
5. No bleach, harsh chemicals or dry cleaning: they can damage the seat.
1. No. The base is an accessory; the infant seat can be installed without it.
2. In narrow vehicle seats, or on a plane, you may get a more secure fit without the base.
1. There is no single required travel position.
2. Any position works as long as the handle is locked in it.
1. Find the expiration date on the seat.
2. Dates differ from seat to seat, so check yours rather than guessing.
3. Once that date has passed, the seat is no longer approved for use.
