Which strollers fold smallest?
The short answer
The smallest fold we have is the Stokke YOYO², about 41 litres; the smallest full-size one, the Nuna TRIV next, takes about 133. Makers measure differently (seat on or off, wheels on, one piece or two), so the catches below matter as much as the numbers.

How to fold it
- Take your child out of the seat.
- You can fold with or without the seat on, but never with the seat facing backward.
- For the smallest fold, turn the seat to face forward and set the backrest fully upright.
- Pull up on the quick-fold handles and let the frame collapse; pressing down on the frame with your thumb makes the handles easier to lift.
- Check that the storage lock lever clicks into place.
The maker warns: DO NOT fold the stroller with the seat rear-facing.

- Take your child out, unlock the front-wheel swivel locks if they are on, and empty the basket and remove any attachments.
- Slide and hold the handlebar fold release button, squeeze the fold button on the handlebar, and fold the handlebar forward.
- Fold the upper part of the frame down onto the lower part.
- Pull up on the strap on the seat and let the frame collapse.
- Check that the auto-lock lever clicks into place.

How to fold it
- Pull the stroller back a little so both front wheels point straight, facing outward.
- Put the brake on so the frame stays still, and check the wheels still face outward.
- Press both handlebar buttons at once and fold the handle down against the frame (it does not lock there).
- Reach under the handle to the bottom of the frame, press and hold the white button on the red/orange bracket, and pull the bracket toward you until it clicks; then let go.
- Grip the folded handlebar together with the central metal bar and lift the stroller by them so it folds; if a wheel catches, straighten it.
- With the wheels facing outward (you can see the white plastic parts above the front wheels), latch the fold hook under the frame onto the central metal bar.
- Carry it by the shoulder strap with the wheels facing out and the handle toward you.
The maker warns: If you are walking with your child while carrying the folded stroller, keep your child on the side away from the stroller.

How to fold it
- Press the parking brake into the locked position.
- Take your child out of the seat and empty the low cargo basket and the pockets.
- Make sure the handlebar is level with the ground, then squeeze both handlebar release levers together and rotate the handlebar forward onto the seat.
- Give the red frame release handle a short, quick tug upward; keep the tires on the ground as the stroller collapses toward the front wheel.
- Lay the stroller flat and fasten the wrist strap buckle to hold it folded.
- To make it smaller still, take off the front and rear wheels.

How to fold it
- For the one-piece fold (seat or bassinet stays on): set the handlebar to its lowest setting.
- Turn the seat and/or bassinet so it lines up with the direction of the handlebar.
- Push the security lock with your thumb while pulling the white triggers up, and let the handlebar go down to the floor.
- Lift the center tube and bring the wheels together; the stroller stands on its own.
- For the smaller two-piece fold instead: take off each seat or bassinet (press the memory buttons and lift), unclip the three latches (front, back and handlebar) and set the handlebar to its lowest setting.
- Press the white button in the middle of the frame and push the frame together to Mono width.
- Hold down the handlebar buttons, push the frame down, then pick the stroller up by the middle bar.

How to fold it
- Step on the brake pedal to put the brake on.
- Press the large handlebar button and bring the handlebar down until it reaches the FOLD stripe.
- Keep pressing the large button while you slide the FOLD button to either side.
- Lift the handlebar up and, with a little momentum, bring the front of the stroller toward you; the seat folds down by itself.
- The stroller folds with the seat or bassinet still on, whichever way it faces.

- Put the brake on and lock the front wheels in the self-standing position.
- Press the bigger white handlebar adjustment button and bring the handlebar down to its lowest position (the last stripe on the inside of the aluminum tube).
- Press both white buttons on the handlebar and push the handlebar along the tubes until the arrow on the inside of the aluminum tube is hidden.
- Push the handlebar down to the floor to fold the stroller.
- Lift the center tube and bring the front and rear wheels together.
- Stand the folded stroller up in its self-standing position.

- Take off the infant car seat if one is attached.
- Lift the seat fabric to find the fold handle.

- Lock the rear wheel brakes and set the front wheels to swivel.
- With the seat on: lift the bottom edge of the seat frame and fold it in half (it folds smallest with the seat forward-facing and fully upright).
- With the car seat adapter on instead: fold the front section of the adapter toward the back section.
- Lift up on the fold handle; the front wheels swing to the side and the push handle folds down.
The maker warns: Keep your child and other children at a safe distance while folding, clear of moving parts.

- If the seat is reclined, hook the loops back onto the backstay first for the smallest fold.
- Put the brake on.
- Hold the handle, press the small button, then squeeze the large button.
- Push the handle down and forward to bring the frame together until it clicks.
- Check the fold latch is engaged; use the carry strap if you're carrying it.
- Store the folded stroller where it can't fall on a child.
The maker warns: Use care when folding and unfolding the stroller. When folded, make sure the stroller is stored in a place where it does not risk falling on a child.

- Press the brake pedal down until it clicks into the locked position.
- Close the canopy and set the seat upright, facing away from you; if the seat faces you, reverse it first. For the smallest fold, use the second most upright position.
- Slide the unlock tab with your thumb all the way left and hold it.
- Still holding the tab, squeeze the button on the front of the handlebar until the stroller starts to fold, and push the handle down.
- As it folds, let go of the handlebar, grab the child bar and pull it toward you until the stroller stands on its handlebar and the side latch clicks.
- Optional: fold the footrest down to 90 degrees or take off the child bar for a smaller package; carry it by the crossbar.
The maker warns: Make sure all body parts are clear of the stroller when folding and unfolding.

- Take off any infant carrier or bassinet, and any seat on the lower mount. The main seat can stay on only if it faces forward; recline it fully for a smaller fold.
- Unlock the front swivel locks and roll the stroller backwards so the front wheels turn around.
- Set the handle to the third-highest position.
- Fold the canopy and rotate the storage latch out.
- Press the secondary lock and pull up the folding button.
- Rotate the handle down and make sure the storage latch closes on the frame; fold the calf support down for a more compact fold.
The maker warns: Take care with your fingers when folding. Remove the infant carrier and the bassinet before folding. Do not fold the stroller with the rain cover on.
