Common Doona problems and the maker's answers
- Think back: did you recently take off the cover or change the shoulder straps?
- If so, the straps are often put back the wrong way. Check the harness did not end up on the outside of the bar.
- Re-route the straps correctly and try clicking it in again.
- Still stuck? Contact your local Doona distributor.
- The brake is probably on.
- Press the green release pedal next to the left rear wheel.
- Always put the brake on when you put your child in or take them out.
- This is on purpose: the handle only extends when it is turned to the rear-facing stroller position.
- Press both white buttons on the sides of the handle at the same time and turn it to that position.
- Then press the white button at the top of the handle and pull the handle toward you.
- Press the white buttons on both sides of the handle at the same time.
- Keep them pressed while you turn the handle to the position you want.
- Pull the handle up in one quick motion, not slowly.
- Pull both sides at the same time; this usually happens when one side lags.
- If the small pins still don't line up with the holes, film it and send the video to your local Doona distributor.
- On the Doona+ this is normal; the wheels are quick to come out.
- To soften it, lift the seat only a little so the wheels open against the ground, not in mid-air.
- The Doona X has a slower release built in.
- One brake controls both rear wheels.
- To lock, press the red pedal next to the right rear wheel.
- To release, press the green pedal next to the left rear wheel.
- The Doona X has a single pedal: step on it to lock, step on it again to release.
- The older Doona+ uses two pedals, one to lock and one to release.
